Dry Flyfishing Dry flyfishing is attracted as "classic flyfishing" by many anglers. Therefor, artifical flies are used that float on the water surface. This is reached by oiling the flies and/or the usage of swimming material (for example hair of deer). By dry flies, adult waterinsects are imitated, either those that sit on the water surface for egg devastation (imagos) or those that hatch out of the larvacover and break through the water surface (emerger) or the ones that died after egg devastation and float on the watersurface with spread wings (spents). The imitations of landinsects (for example grashoppers, ants or beetles) belong to this category. With dry flies you can catch fish that ascend and eat insects from the water surface.
Wet Flyfishing Wet flyfishing is the oldest type of flyfishing. Wet flies are artificial flies that do not swim and imitate dead insects that float under the water surface.
Nymph Fishing Nymph fishing is a type of fishing with special flies that sink as well es wet flies. In contrast to wet flies nymphes imitate the larva phases of water insects. Nymphes are weigh down with lead to fish deep water very often. Classic wet flies are not weigh down. Streamer Fishing Streamer fishing is the border between flyfishing and spinfishing. Streamer are artifical lure that imitate little fish, mouses or similar things (imitation streamer) or they entice the carnivore fish to bite by their glaring colors (stimulous streamer). These lures are flies only because of the fly tying material (plumes, hair or twine) that has been used for their production. Streamer fishing aim carnivore fish and take place with heavy fly fishing equipment.
